EDUCATIONAL PRESENTaTIONS / NICKY & CANdy’s Street
Nicky & Candy’s Street is part of an wonderful five-book series written by Ben Andrews, published by Tiny Tree Publishing (part of AndrewsUK) and illustrated by me! ‘Better Places’ has been written to help highlight the issues disabled people currently face to children, parents and educators, whilst providing an outlet to take positive action. Introducing these concepts at an early age will increase understanding as they grow into adults to support a more accessible, inclusive and better future; and Ben, the author, regularly visits schools and open days to relay this message.
I was asked to create three presentations, each with a different brief, to further explore the book’s message in an interactive, colourful and exciting way! Below are ‘What Does Blind Mean’, ‘Bad Place or Better Place?’ and ‘The Cane Family.’ Projects like this are incredibly rewarding for me, as I love to create work with an educational & interactive purpose.
